Inspect protocol, path and parameters separately

Parse a complete address into host, port, path, query parameters and fragment. Inspect redirects, campaign links or API requests without visiting the supplied address.

An example to check

Input and settings

https://example.com:8443/docs?q=a+b#intro

Expected result

host: example.com
port: 8443
path: /docs
q: a b
hash: #intro

Query values use URLSearchParams rules, so + in q represents a space. #intro is a fragment rather than a query parameter.

Scope and limitations

  • A trusted name inside a link does not prove it is the host. Inspect user information before @ and the actual hostname.
  • Parsing checks structure, not ownership, content or safety. Do not paste URLs containing production keys.
