Check the input base and integer range

Compare binary, octal, decimal and hexadecimal integers. Choose the input base and use only its permitted digits.

An example to check

Input and settings

255 (base 10)

Expected result

11111111 (base 2)
377 (base 8)
FF (base 16)

255 has eight binary bits set to one. Converting a result back to decimal should restore 255; letter case does not change a hexadecimal value.

Scope and limitations

  • This tool handles integers, not floating-point values, IEEE 754 bit patterns or signed two-complement representations.
  • Browser Number values have a limited safe integer range. Do not rely on these displayed results to migrate very large identifiers precisely.
