Instructions

Understand JWT content without logging in

Used for debugging auth, checking token fields, or troubleshooting expiration.

1Paste JWT string
2View header and payload
3Copy parsed JSON
After completionGet readable JWT structure and field info.Paste token first

A readable JWT does not prove a trusted signature

The parser decodes JWT headers and payloads for inspecting claims and timestamps. It does not replace server-side signature, issuer or audience validation.

An example to check

Input and settings

eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJzdWIiOiIxMjMifQ.example

Expected result

{"alg":"HS256"}
{"sub":"123"}

The sample has a fake signature segment. Reading sub=123 cannot authorize a user. Inspect sanitized tokens; real authentication still needs signature and exp validation.

Scope and limitations

  • The payload is only encoded and readable by anyone holding the token. Do not put passwords in it.
  • Do not expose a valid production token in feedback or screenshots. Successful parsing does not mean a server will accept it.
